Data stored on your device
Athlete profiles, events, results, notes, tags, goals, reminders, preferences, and personal records are stored locally on your device. Native app storage is encrypted at rest. Pursuit does not operate an account system, cloud sync service, or hosted athlete-data backend in version 1.0.
You can create an encrypted .pursuitbackup file for your own storage or transfer. The backup is protected by a passphrase that Pursuit does not store or recover. Anyone with the backup file and passphrase may be able to read its contents.
Purchases
Pursuit uses Apple In-App Purchase and RevenueCat to provide and restore the optional Pursuit Premium lifetime unlock. Purchase history and an anonymous app user identifier are sent to RevenueCat for purchase validation, entitlement delivery, fraud prevention, app functionality, and purchase analytics. Pursuit does not send your athlete profiles, health metrics, results, notes, or backup contents to RevenueCat.
Apple and RevenueCat process purchase information under their own privacy policies. Pursuit does not receive or store your full payment-card details.
Data we do not collect
Version 1.0 does not include advertising, cross-app tracking, analytics SDKs for app usage, crash reporting, remote logging, push notifications, location collection, contacts access, or photo access. Data that remains solely on your device is not collected by Pursuit.
Your choices
You can delete all local Pursuit data from Settings. This deletes the local database and its device encryption key. Deleting the app also removes its local app data according to iOS behaviour. Keep an encrypted backup first if you may need the records later.
You can restore a previous Pursuit Premium purchase from Settings. For questions about purchase data or a privacy request involving RevenueCat, contact us using the address below.
Children
Pursuit is not directed to children. A parent or guardian may choose to keep an athlete profile for a child on their own device; that local profile is not transmitted to Pursuit or RevenueCat.
Changes and contact
We will update this policy before introducing a material change such as accounts, cloud sync, hosted athlete-data services, advertising, or new analytics. Privacy and support enquiries: support@pursuitapp.app.

What can I track?
Anything measurable: strength, sprints, jumps, throws, body composition, heart rate, recovery, wellness, lab values, and your own custom metrics.
Do I need an account?
No. Pursuit is local-first and version 1.0 has no account or login. Your athlete data stays on your device.
Is Pursuit a subscription?
No. Pursuit Premium is a one-time lifetime unlock. There is no recurring monthly or annual fee.
Can I back up my data?
Yes. You can create an encrypted .pursuitbackup file protected by a passphrase only you know. Keep the passphrase safe—Pursuit cannot recover it.
Does Pursuit give medical advice?
No. Pursuit helps you manually record and review data; it is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis or treatment.
Is Android supported?
The initial launch is focused on iPhone. Additional platform availability will be announced as it is confirmed.
